In this section, I spend more time diving into the cosmic tonality of this rare moon and what it might manifest on your way across the next two to four weeks.
The last new moon in Leo was clearly inviting us to come back and attend to our Self.
Reconnecting to what was once making the child vibrant and so excited about life
Facing the fears that might have kept us from expressing our full potential
Starting to gain awareness on the karmic relationships, inherited or not, that prevent us from further expanding
… we embarked on a six-to-eight-month cycle of (r)evolution.
Whether willing or not. Change is coming.
During this last new moon, Uranus was square and will have brought unsettling internal tensions and unrest to the fore so that we start looking within for what is currently in need of attention. What was inhibiting our flame from burning strong and free.
Whatever the realizations, awakening or insights you gained during this last month (certainly the sum of 18 months of crisis management) you will have likely understood that things cannot stay the same.
The window for our individual wills to shape our future will likely close on Dec 18, when the universe will once again take over the reins…
This new moon comes with so many blessings and possibly some endings too. Even though the energy is going to be incredibly positive, please bear in mind that the time for decision has not yet come, more preparations and analyses are still required for you to put all the luck on your side.
Sun and Moon meeting in Virgo invite us to get practical and bring the conclusions of our summer (or winter) reflections into redefining our routine… yes, some parts of our Self have not been attended to for a very long time and now need to be taken care of. So how will we bring that to life concretely?
Most of our personal planets have already shifted into Libra, so even if the main theme of this new moon is ensuring that we attend to ALL parts of our self in a sacred manner, the sky also points to the fact that balance, fairness and relationships are also part of the objectives.
Balance points to the challenge of not doing enough or going too far into extremes, which should absolutely be avoided. Unattended needs will not be satisfied with one hour of your time a month. Equally, dedicating an excessive amount of time and energy into mending the past might see you too emotionally invested and bring unbalance in many other areas of your life, challenging the sustainability of your efforts in the long term and making you more sensitive to any potential obstacle.
Fairness invites you to realize where you may have gone too far, especially in relation to others and adjust if necessary. Realize that you are not the only one requiring to heal and evolve, others do too and will likely need your help and support to be able to do so.
Relationship does not only point to others, even though they are a big part of the problems and solutions, but also point to all the components of your life. Your relationship to food, money, anger, approval… whatever will have proven sensitive and problematic. Here the idea is to start analyzing those relationships mentally and objectively. The Sun in Virgo will help you see the flaws as well as the potential solutions. Pay attention into becoming too much of a perfection freak as this would prove to be detrimental to the exercise. No, instead use this strong analytical energy to ensure you are screening all of your “relationships”, human, material, emotional, psychological and spiritual.
I cannot stress enough the importance of looking into hurtful relationships. What and who has been supportive of your evolution, but you might have cut yourself from. Now is the time to mend and try something new. Love and compassion will go extremely far. The times demand to explore new solutions. If you find yourself lacking options, then now is the time to look out as you will definitely be supported but make sure that you are fair and balanced as going all out will backfire too.
Mercury will go retrograde in Libra on Sep 27 up to October 18 so the retro shadow area will start with this new moon. A lot of what has been stored by our unconscious mind during the last 3 months will soon re-emerge into our consciousness, or make itself obvious as trickster manifestations start popping up.
Our relationships – how we relate to one another or to problematic areas of our life – will clearly be the main topic for review… another reason to avoid making any rash decisions… we simply do not have yet all the information that we need to!
The main feature of this new moon is an exact trine to Uranus. I cannot remember the last time we had such an exact aspect forming during a new moon, so this is quite rare and exceptional.
URANUS WILL SIMPLY BLESS THE CHANGES YOU BRING INTO YOUR LIFE BUT IS ALSO DEMANDING THAT YOU STOP RESISTING THE CHANGE.
Resisting it will just grow your restlessness to a hardly manageable level which might bring later troubles. Now is the time for new blood, new horizons, new solutions. Ideas you might never have tested before, uncharted territories, new topics and people.
Uranus is in Taurus, so it clearly challenges us to REVIEW OUR RELATIONSHIP TO LOVE, WORK, MONEY, OUR PLANET AS A LIVING ENTITY, GAIA, PACHAMAMA, WHAT WE TRULY VALUE, WHAT IS SUPPORTIVE OF OUR GROWTH AND BECOMING.
Depending on where Taurus falls into you chart, it also points to that area.
Things are about get a little more complicated, personal and conflictual as our personal planets all move soon in Scorpio and Uranus will bring the change to a clashing point. This time must be dedicated to ensuring you will be able to benefit from strong healthy foundations.
Yes, change is required for your Self to be able to truly shine, reconnect to love and happiness, but now is not the time to throw the baby out with the bathwater… or if you have done so, to go and pick up that poor baby. It is not the time to make rash decision unless your situation has simply become unbearable.
Uranus is also inviting us to avoid working on plans too rigid, things will likely not go as we expect them to progress and play out so including an element of flexibility into our plan and an even greater dose of adaptability will be critical to be and feel successful over the next months.
If Chaos breeds life and Order habits, this New Moon is an INVITATION TO FIND WITHIN US THE FLEXIBILITY TO BALANCE BOTH CHAOS AND ORDER OVER THE NEXT 6 MONTHS.
Beyond Uranus, the real guest star of this new moon is ERIS.

What are the odds?
Well incredibly low. Enough to pay very high attention to such a disturbing and incontrollable energy.
Eris is not just inviting or triggering a little change here and there… she demands complete and radical change!
The first object of her attention (her focus will evolve all along the next 6 months): our love, relationships and sacred mission.
Opposed by Venus in Libra, she wants us to dig deep into our heart, see the truth we refuse to accept, be fair and act with integrity to bring that truth to the surface. Prune what is not supportive of our growth and mend what once was.
Opposed by Vesta also in Libra, she’s demands that we walk the path of our sacred mission, that we no longer postpone the time when we start realizing our true potential and bring justice to our self and the collective; that we strengthen the alliances required to be successful on that path.
Squared by Pluto in Capricorn, she will be resisted by our deeply buried psychological traumas and barriers, the ego structures we took a life to erect, the authorities of our life triggering strong and possibly violent power struggles. If the resistance is too high, endings are likely to be in the cards for some.
Inconjunct Mars in Virgo, this process will likely be irritating or unnerving, highlighting the possible disconnect with what we had started to act up on and materialize over the last months or years, the frustration that might arise from having to consider another avenue.
Sextile Jupiter in Aquarius, she points to the fact that the way of our greater destiny and growth is not into projecting our problems onto others but mending the past, accepting that the problems are ours and exploring new solutions. That personal efforts are required to be able to tap into this greater outcome, that it will not come on its own. This work is only starting to mature as Jupiter is still retro but will come to fruition around Nov 18 for the next sextile.
Note that with Mars, Pluto, Venus, Juno, Lilith all involved in tight aspects, there is clearly a sexual undertone to this new moon… where our sexual needs might not have been – or be accepted – and this might have driven – or may drive – a feeling of rejection and incompatibility. The true roots of the issue are somewhere else though and some more work required to be uncovered as Eris and Pluto both point to much deeper emotional issues.
Even though some serious work is brooding under the surface, the period will be incredibly positive, optimistic, energetic, and rich in good vibes.
We are being inflatedly encouraged to embrace the change, to also be open to a change that is not exactly how we imagined it to be, to heal the past, to truly forgive ourselves.
In order to be able to access this, we will need to drop any psychological barrier to the new, accept that it might build on older bases, so that the cosmic intelligence can intervene and we can truly bring balance within and without into our lives, starting this process of (r)evolution with the best of intentions and foundations.
