That’s very much what I heard you screaming and what we will all want to shout the next time we come across one of its external manifestations.
Square Uranus, our need for freedom and a brighter future will be irresistible… and our emotional reactions to anybody or anything embodying the Saturn energy of contraction, very hard to refrain.
And this is not about to stop anytime soon.
Uranus will aspect 5 other new moons in between now and January 2022… its energy is about to double in intensity as it goes retrograde on the 19th of August up to January. Likely peaking with the last exact Saturn-Uranus square around December 25th.
The choice we are being given is rather narrow: EITHER work with this strong creative and liberating Shakti energy OR get ready to experience the destabilizing and destructive power of Shiva into your life.
I suspect that you may all remember what Saturn brought into our lives from March to September 2020. A state of restrictions we still haven’t grown accustomed to, but was truly there for us to redefine our foundations and demonstrate commitment to the practice necessary for this new seed to grow.
So you might wonder what this new cycle is truly about.
Beyond contraction, Saturn is karma, responsibilities, maturity and authority. Its element is earth, the harsh reality of life, pragmatism and hard work. It embodies the top-down style of societal management.
Uranus is the energy that seeks to ensure those are not getting crystallized and static and that we carry on evolving and progressing.
Uranus represents the youth, its rebellious attitude, ingenuity, science, (r)evolution, the sky, the future, unexpected events, breakthroughs and breakdowns. Its element is air, what connects us, the mental realm, the realm of possibilities and ideals, dreams and hopes. Uranus wants us to ensure that all of our voices will be listened to and integrated in our society.
So far, we have been very disciplined, trustful and almost submissive to authorities, protecting our elders and demonstrating great resilience.
However, this has come at a very heavy cost and many schisms have started to emerge within our countries but across the globe too. The balance most governments are trying to maintain is extremely delicate and rely on a return to “normality”.
A Uranus cycle points to unexpected events challenging this balance and exposing the flaws of the current policies. To sudden breakdowns and awakenings. To the end of consensus and the need for minorities or poorer nations to be heard and considered too. To younger adults no longer playing by the rules and willing to accept to see their future sacrificed by a return to an unsustainable “normal”. To new scientific and technological breakthroughs. To greater environmental disasters. To new faster mutations of the virus. To more digital hacks and destabilizations.
The Eris-Pluto squares that had given rise to the Black Live Matters movement and many other protests last year is coming back on August 28th and October 9th.
The exact Kyte gathering Saturn, Juno and Vesta and pointing to the North Node in Gemini is clearly inviting us to continue the work we started in 2020.
This time, we will need to review our relationships, all of our relationships: to life and our purpose, to our body, mind, health and routine, to death, our shadows and intimate relationships, to the divine, our beliefs and universal laws, to authorities, our work and finally to the collective, its future and our democratic model.
Where or when have those relationships turned karmic (mindlessly inherited, static, sour, swamped, biased, toxic, outdated) and how can justice be brought, and the relationship finally evolve?
Vesta in Libra and Juno in Sagittarius both highlight… That we will need to harness our deepest fire into this new work to maintain peace and bring a new justice. That we must move from the heart with complete devotion. That it is only by reviewing and evolving our established beliefs and the nature of our relationships that we can contribute to birthing a greater destiny. That this will require more hard work but that we are heavenly supported in our commitment to do so. That we will find discipline, determination, organization and method when doing so. That the period of isolation is over and the time for collaboration has now come. That what we do has more meaning when we share it with others.
In Leo we are likely to start feeling frustrated, irritated and ready to explode with the Square.
In Virgo (Sep 7), we will be able to deal with the energy more harmoniously to integrate the necessary changes in our routine
In Libra (Oct 6), Uranus will be inconjunct bringing frustration and irritations in all of our partnerships, an objective assessment of where the balance truly sits and diplomatic readjustments will likely be required
In Scorpio (Nov 4), Uranus retro will peak in opposition to the Sun and will likely bring this rebellious energy to a violent clashing point in any, or all, of our relationships, especially intimate or subversive ones if we have refused to go deep enough and only done a superficial effort so far
During the Sagittarius solar eclipse (Dec 4), Uranus will once again be inconjunct, bringing additional frictions and irritations with the society at large but possibly in between nations too: the opportunity to further adjust our lives to our newfound truth.
As we work on our new year’s resolutions and our projects of the year for the new Moon in Capricorn (Jan 2), we will once again benefit from the harmonious support of Uranus: ingenuity and further liberations and awakenings will be high on the agenda.
Finally, Uranus will once again form a hard square to the New Moon in Aquarius (Feb 1) activating the last Saturn-Uranus square, bringing a new batch of unexpected changes to integrate as the dust will settle but this time with the purpose of seeing us serving for the greater good of our collective.
Virgo, Libra and Scorpio new moons are likely to have the strongest evolutive impact on our destiny, that is if we accept to acknowledge and fix our flaws, truly seek justice and look deep into our shadows as they will invites us to.
This may sound scary but remember that Uranus is at play, and it is therefore acting for our greater collective good. Beyond the destruction this cycle might bring stands the promise of a much better world.
As the cycle starts in Leo, the universe imparts us to adopt the qualities of this sign to best navigate the next 6 months: deep presence and awareness, courage, leadership, nobility, integrity, humility, a readiness to put our best self forward and act from the heart.
It also encourages us to be very clear about our unique qualities, what is truly different and unique about us so that we can start putting those qualities forward fearlessly, stop shying away from our true self by sourcing self-approval and eventually best serve the collective as we nurture the seeds of change all over the next six months.
A few people might escape this energy but for most and especially those with planets or angles in the middle of Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) the choice will very simple: anticipate and bring change willingly OR run the risk of having to deal with very disrupting events.
Know that both collective and individuals will be affected, whether or not this will turn personal at some point, you might want to make sure you play an active part in the shaping of our destiny and bring your positive energies to those who will most need it.
This new moon is also trine Chiron so this process is almost guaranteed to bring deep healing if nothing else!
As far as the next 2 to 4 weeks are concerned
Mercury is also conjunct this New Moon and exactly trine the Eris-Pluto square, more protests and unrest should soon hit news headlines and all our screens.
Venus opposition Neptune invites to a little realism in matters of heart and money… ideals and illusions might set you up for serious disappointments later if you are not careful. Try and make sure that unconditional goes both ways. Similarly, Mercury opposition Jupiter will boost our communications and in the process our egos, mind boastful and arrogant behaviours as well as unilateral deals in the process. This opposition will also get us to focus on the long-term big picture, too often forgetting to review the constituent parts right now… The devil will be in the detail.
But who cares, when we’re in Leo fun season and crave for excitement and freedom? Right now it will be all razzle and dazzle… and it’s ok if you are not starting to line up any sort of expectation on the back of it and remain aware of what is truly happening.
The energy level will grow stronger up to the 11th when it might slightly be over the top for a few days around this date. Mars square the Nodes pushes the energy throttle just a notch too far to see if you can still manage your cool and act graciously under pressure… and yes, it’s a learning exercise… so expect anger, opposition, competition and aggression to slip here and there. If this is happening to you, remember that nobody is here to get you. It’s not personal. So, breath in, breath out. If however your core purpose and values were to be challenged on the other side, it would be the right time to have a little healthy show of will power when it comes to defending your boundaries. Act graciously but assertively and decisively… like a Lion.
On that same day, Mercury will enter Virgo, joining Venus and Mars… definitely the time to attend to the tiny details of material life.
On the 18th, when it conjuncts Mars, might be when the details take all their importance, be it to defend your point of view, expect explanation, do your research or get your ideas in motion. With Uranus trining this conjunction, you can look forward to all sorts of awakenings, epiphanies, discoveries and excitement.
On the 16th Venus will ingress Libra and with 5 planets dignified in their home sign (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Neptune), we will enter a 7-day window of grace and magic.
With Uranus going retrograde on the 19th, expect a very revelatory and illuminating time window from the 14th to the 26th.
The two last weeks of August will be much more relaxing and the second Full Moon in Aquarius will drastically shift from an initial doom and gloom to highly auspicious in its second coming. But that’s for another time!
