Full Moon in Pisces September 2022

Evolving In The Sign Of...

This full moon in Pisces set on September 10 at 9:58 GMT is the last before a series of 3 extremely intense full moons and is nothing less than a true blessing in disguise, complimentary of Mercury retrograde.

Even though it might come with disturbances and necessary adjustments, the greater intelligence orchestrating this apparent chaos invites us to try and find our place in the universe, be soft and compassionate with ourselves and others, remember that we are all waves in a bigger ocean and to remain trustful whatever the circumstances end up being.

All of this of course, is only valid if you intend to organize your life around your core needs to provide the necessary grounding we will all need to progress and be able to welcome and serve others, but also if you accept that there are other states of consciousness than the material plane you need to attend to and commit to through your practice so that you can heal and remain operational over the next six months.

It will be all too easy to fall into old traps, blame ourselves, and be overwhelmed by increasingly disturbing and irritating details which may eventually end up paralyzing us in fear, anxiety, and confusion.

In Pisces, this moon wants us to remember that we are part of a bigger energetic whole and that the vibrations we entertain contribute to creating the reality we experience.

That we play a role in manifesting our reality whether we decide to show up anxious, petty, stuck in a rut, critical, and pessimistic or faithful, humble, curious, and empathic.

That with this knowledge and power comes the necessary commitment to protect and maintain an inner peace and boundless space that can only emerge from silence, integrating chaos, forgiveness, and non-engagement.

With the Mercury retrograde first in Libra and then Virgo kicking off exactly during this full moon, technical glitches, transportation challenges will invite us to pause for we need to stop our autopilot and reconsider some important new information. Many will find the disturbances irritating that will add to their restlessness and certainly affect their collaboration. Relational details and personal boundaries are, however, what is truly dysfunctional and at the heart of our current work, health, or performance issues. More on this in our dedicated blog here.

With the moon being so close to Neptune, we are being offered two options, either realizing that most of our issues are connected to the past and buried in our psyche or simply escape and give in to any kind of temporarily soothing addiction.

Pretending that our relationships are perfect will only lead to later disappointments and disillusions. Immediately acknowledging that we have issues will be supported though many opportunities to fix it. Being ready to make the necessary efforts and experimenting with curiosity invigorates the improvements.

Burying our head in the sand and pretending that we are too busy to sort things out now will only increase the disconnect between what we think the other needs and what the reality truly is; getting us to double our efforts for very little results, quite the opposite indeed. Loose ends need to be tied up and bridges to mend before a dream or a project can go on.

The real challenge coming from this Full Moon stems from the fact that it is conjunct Juno (Jupiter’s jealous wife), clearly pointing to the need for commitment and partnership issues to be seriously discussed.  If overlooked or avoided, those potentially give rise to feelings of jealousy, doubt and suspicion, opening the floodgate for the discord, conflicts and break ups the next full moon in Aries and following lunar eclipse in Taurus promise.

And it might all boil down to how delusional (Pisces) or realistic (Virgo) we have been so far about our couple and partnerships over the last 3 months since Neptune went retrograde.

But nothing will empower you more than understanding how the chaotic, dissolving, and unifying energy of Pisces comes to balance the almost unstoppable reductionist problem-solving engine that Virgo can be.

The Virgo Pisces polarity

The Virgo Pisces polarity relates to the Grand Mutable Cross of Knowledge…

Around this cross we are to understand the immutable laws of the universe as well as how we, humans, get acquainted to and integrate our divine nature, our place within the cosmos and how the many levels of existence – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual – interact together within and without.

In its masculine polarity

With Gemini we realize that the world is dual in its manifest reality, that what makes the world as we know it is our awareness, the active observation of events unfolding around us. We try to make sense of it by finding the words that can best describe the experiences we are witnessing so that we can share it with others. A lot is obviously lost in translation and incredibly dependent on the bigger belief system we have inherited from our ancestors and come to accept without too much questioning.

This belief system is the greater socio-cultural myth our predecessors have come to agree on and all to believe in hereafter, tying up all the micro pieces together and linking all the information Gemini collected in a coherent whole…

With Sagittarius we look beyond the individual and the differences to recognize the universal and the impersonal laws of nature. We realize that beyond the facts and the reductionist details an unexplainable energy brings the world alive and everything is in perfect order despite its apparent chaos. We recognize that a greater intelligence is at work and develop the faith that this intelligence has a master plan we are or can be part of.

This understanding is still human, imperfect and based on beliefs, but as more facts are being collected and explained by Gemini, this higher learning refines itself, purifies itself and a greater truth starts to emerge, more coherent with our own internal experience of life…

Religion and Science after having parted in the eighteenth century have now started to converge with the emergence of quantum physics… we start to understand that beyond the outdated mythology of all religions stand converging life changing Truths and almost mechanical principles, we realize that the energy carries the information, that our state of consciousness defines how the world manifest itself, that every action carries consequences, that love is the uniting vibration and fear the divisive one.

In its masculine polarity with Gemini and Sagittarius, WE MAKE SENSE OF THE EXTERNAL WORLD FROM THE MICRO TO THE MACRO but that’s nowhere enough for us, humans, to function within this whole.

For this we need to explore and integrate the feminine polarity:

HOW THIS DUAL EXTERNAL WORLD CAN BE INTEGRATED, DIGESTED, AND TRANSCENDED
FOR OUR GREATEST FULFILMENT AND THE OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COSMIC ENVIRONMENT.

With the Sun currently in Virgo, our consciousness is currently focused on all things Virgo with the potential to gain a new elevating awareness, but also to blind ourselves from greater truths.

Virgo, processing information within ourselves from a micro standpoint

Just like we realized that the external world is made of an infinite number of pieces, we come to realize that we are also a complex and fragile organism made of almost as many pieces at two rather obvious levels: physical and mental.

A body made of billions of cells AND a mind made of billions synaptic neural connections.

Virgo rules the nervous and digestive systems.

The first helps us to manage and prioritize our body needs as well as give us the necessary sensory information on the conditions of the outside world so that we can adapt our body regulation and behaviors to the current ambient situation.

The second helps us to digest food, metabolize the different ingredients (and experiences) into the necessary nutrients all the parts of our body need.

Virgo, like Gemini, is ruled by Mercury, its first association is thus mental as this planet is the fastest in our solar system after the Moon (our changing moods and emotions). The nervous system is directly linked to our brain, here Virgo is transforming the sensory stimuli into actionable insights the body will adjust to. The biological digestive process is thus mimicked at a mental level by Virgo.

Where Gemini indiscriminately takes note of all the differences observed, labels with descriptions and explores all the possible options, Virgo analyzes, compares, and weighs. Its role is to decide whether or not this information is important and how much it is in relation to those already known. The information will be either discarded, if already processed, or duly analyzed, benchmarked, filed (emotionally associated) and stored.

Virgo is an earth sign, helping us to deal with the material reality of life. Having integrated that we have a finite reservoir of time and energy, Virgo’s role is to optimize those for our survival in its basic automations and our fulfillment if we mindfully master and extend this process to all parts of our life.

So that’s what it does, it discriminates, sorts, compartmentalizes, prioritizes, manages, optimizes… almost non-stop.

To deal with the millions of Gemini information and signals to process, Virgo has found a way to deal with the volume and as you would expect from our engineer-in-chief, it’s an automation!

Virgo rules both our routine and habits.

Our routine helps us find stability and relative peace, without it our lives would be quite chaotic and impossible to manage, especially when including others. Routine removes uncertainty and brings something we are familiar with and by extension more comfortable since we have already dealt with it.

The comfort comes from repetition, as we repeat an experience again and again, we become familiar with the relative limited range of possible outcomes stored in our memory and can develop automatic responses, reflexes that no longer need our conscious attention to be triggered and we can then focus on other information. This is how habits, reflexes and emotional responses are formed. This is also what advertisers exploit very often without you realizing it.

Virgo is the closest version to the “I self” that relentlessly chatters into our head…

Of course, that voice is the sum of our personality understood as the 5 first Zodiac signs:

  1. our body, its unique features and how others perceive us,
  2. our resources, physiological needs, what we like and are attached to,
  3. our education, mental and communication skills, how we interact with others,
  4. our emotional conditioning, responses, and traumas, how others make us feel,
  5. our passions, leadership style and creative power, how we express ourselves

Those constitute the upper level of our personality that the “I self “must manage and integrate on the top of all the mundane activities we go through during a day.

Whatever the challenge, the Virgo mind will need to SOLVE for it.

To solve means to tighten, to fasten, put together into a functioning whole.

But also, what is saving or rescuing us.

Virgo, the sixth sign, comes to finalize our being and put it together into a coherent functioning unit, ready to meet and function with others in the next 6 signs.

Beyond Routine Virgo thus pertains to Health (organizing all the cells of our body) and Service (ensuring that we are a useful and integrated cell part of a greater body). A lack of balance within this unit and the different constituent parts will very often lead to health issues or make you unfit for integration within the greater society.

An imbalance can be obvious or more subtle, slowly degrading the biological unit over time. Many chronic diseases will find their source in unhealthy habits, toxic behaviors built on limiting beliefs or inherited karma which have tightened their grip to unbearable and unsustainable levels.

An imbalance can be harder to spot, slowly pushing our body to extremes, especially when we refuse to integrate our dual nature, deny our own hard reality, reject our shadow side by developing psychological or spiritual bypasses, believe that the “I Self” is all there is and fall for its overcritical inner voice into either depressive, lethargic, or delusional state.

Hence why it is important to revisit our routine and explore the roots of our oldest habits… but even more to be soft with ourselves when doing so and allowing for space and silence between our thoughts.

Pisces, transcending our reality and opening up to the silence/cosmos within

Pisces reminds us that if our plans are too tight, there is absolutely no space for the universe to co-create and surprise us.

Pisces is a water sign and just like water it flows within the cracks and fills the void left, permeating all things.

That when we get stuck in our roles and what we have learned to perform our roles, we limit ourselves.

What Pisces truly points to is what emerges when we muzzle the “I self “and stop identifying with it, when we start to focus on the silence in between the thoughts, when we let the chaos regain its natural place, when we surrender to the flow of life and drop all acquired knowledge for something much deeper that stands at the core of who we are, our true Self, a deep knowing, the intuitive truth that cannot be simply expressed by words but is more of an emotional or vibrational nature, as in energy in motion.

Pisces is spirituality in its receptive and intuitive nature. Pisces is what stands beyond words and the apparent reality, not without (Sagittarius) but within. Pisces is the emotions we arise to when we listen to music or poetry. Pisces is the emotions we feel when we put ourselves into others shoes and completely forget about ourselves. Pisces is the emotions we open up to when absolutely everything is perfect on this beautiful morning or afternoon. Pisces get attuned to one vibration, removes all barriers and limits and let that vibration take over the whole in unity.

Where Virgo could be associated with basic (or automatic) consciousness and the efforts we need to make to adjust to the physical realities of this world, Pisces pertains to the unconscious, the realm of dreams – when we no longer identify with the “I self”, musicthe supreme light of consciousness and the genuine efforts we need to make to transcend this material world and reconnect to our greater energetic reality.

The last sign of the Zodiac, Pisces is the whole we have emerged from, the placenta of our mother, the waters of March, what we will return to, time and time again, the beginning and the end, the light of consciousness, the unconditional love, Sat Chit Ananda, the energy matrix.

Where Virgo solves, Pisces DISSOLVES… the action of adding water to get a solid to disappear… Pisces unties, unfastens, loosens… Pisces removes the barriers between us and the whole and by doing so truly unites what was only artificially (and probably badly) tied up together before. Pisces invites us to be more compassionate with ourselves, dissolve the undue expectations we set on ourselves and accept ourselves as imperfect, just the way life is.

Targeting some of the unnecessary lines, labels, divisions, and boundaries Virgo sets in its frantic optimization process.

This sign also reminds us that knowledge and labels limit imagination and space.

That balance must be found between our human nature and our divine being.

That non-doing and surrendering (Pisces) is as conducive to CREATION as doing and optimizing (Virgo).

That the vibration we decide to attune ourselves to and by extension our state of consciousness is possibly more important than the intentions we are motivated by, the sum of information and desires.

That once we have made our choices, we need to surrender all expectations on the potential outcomes and that our emotional attachment to a particular outcome (and by extension the additional destabilizing vibrations released as our excessive reactions to life not showing up the way we expected it to) is very often what is defeating our wishes to be manifested.

Of course, this is a fine balance.

Too much Virgo and the inner critic becomes relentless at self-sabotage.

CgoKCgo8P3BocCBpZihnZXRfc3ViX2ZpZWxkKCdzZWN0aW9uX2NvbnRlbnRfaW5saW5lX2ltYWdlX3RleHRfaWQnKSk6ICA/PgoJCQkJPGRpdiBpZD0nPD9waHAgdGhlX3N1Yl9maWVsZCgnc2VjdGlvbl9jb250ZW50X2lubGluZV9pbWFnZV90ZXh0X2lkJyk7ID8+Jz4gPC9kaXY+CgkJPD9waHAgZW5kaWY7ID8+Cg==

The shadows of Virgo:

  • Getting our state of consciousness attuned to an overwhelming pessimism and bringing more negative events into our lives.
  • Projecting our own shortcomings onto Others… rejecting to accept our own emotional responsibilities. When this happens, the Pisces side unites projectors into movements of a fanatical nature and gives rise to division in society.

Too much Virgo and imbalances occur within our body or at work, making us unfit to be part of the active society… quickly pushing us onto the too-much medicated Pisces side.

Working with this polarity

Requires that:

We accept that our health is very much dependent on our habits and that by identifying the most toxic habits, setting the corrective path, and bringing space and compassion around those will help us to better integrate and serve the society.

We understand that the biggest addiction of all is to continue to believe that our “I self”, the little voice that continually nags us with uninterrupted thoughts is our true self… that to find our true Self we must learn to disconnect, mindfully create space, regularly appreciate the silence, grasp once and for all the secret in stillness.

We mindfully reject negativity, realizing that our awareness and what we decide to focus on form the energetic vibrations that create our reality. We accept to take charge of our own emotional well-being by understanding that through our response to difficult events we are in fact responsible for the quality of the energy that will eventually unfold into our lives. Consequently, we must willingly adopt love and compassion as our main compass each and every day, however challenging this might be.

We realize that our bad habits and toxic behaviors are very often rooted into old forgotten limiting beliefs or emotional traumas and that to be able to remove all the debris that will hinder the formation of new healthier habits, a deep introspection, energy work and psychological support are all going to be incredibly supportive of our good intentions.

Looking back at the New Moon six months ago

This full moon comes to check and see how we have done since the March 2nd New Moon in Pisces

Mars & Venus (just back from retrograde with a vengeance) were then conjunct Pluto, pitting past lovers against each other, fighting over material possessions and power, capable of the greatest evil and accumulating karma… Ukraine had just been invaded and the Bucha massacre was occurring over that lunation.

Mercury was conjunct Saturn, darkening our mind and bringing pessimistic thoughts in the collective

The New Moon was conjunct Jupiter and Neptune, inviting us to be clear with what we wished for and warning us that being ambivalent, light and mundane about shameful and guilty action would carry karmic weight we would later have to deal with.

On the other side, embracing our darkness, accepting our failings, seeing through our lies would genuinely help us to heal.

Could we be happy for those luckier than us without comparing, denigrating, and eventually devaluing ourselves?

Would we be able to forgive ourselves, find inner peace and project it outwardly or would we fall for the nightmarish vision of apocalypse and let our state be dictated by fear and anxiety?

Neptune went retrograde on June 27, allowing us to integrate the lessons of this period. Unfortunately, this retrograde was also carrying the potential of buying into a greater delusion and falling again into old habits if our psychological state was not clearly attended to.

Neptune and Pluto being closely sextile and tightening up to 2026, the two retrogrades are closely aligned.

July 18-20 has likely formed karmic unions born out of a delusional state.

Sept 16-19 will most likely bring those unions to experience the darkness they desperately tried to escape but also an opportunity for those involved to find help and attend to themselves.

As Venus squares Mars on Sep 16, all of our relationships are likely to generate internal heat (both sexual and conflictual), challenges and an opportunity to start difficult conversations.

A sacred time to stand by your boundaries, speak from your inner core and trust that whatever the outcome, the universe will care for you so that you no longer given in to addictive, escapist, self-destructive or co-dependent behaviours.
