Moon-light
In this section, I spend more time diving into the cosmic tonality of this moon and what it might manifest on your way across the next two to four weeks.
A lot of the Leo-Aquarius polarity tendencies might be participating to, or highlighted during, the events that this potent full moon will unfold over the next two weeks.
Stuck between Pluto and Saturn, this full moon is reactivating the COVID crisis triggered by the conjunction of those two same planets in January 2020.
There is no more doubt about the arrival of a new wave of contaminations, but this 3rd or 4th wave depending on countries will now expand far beyond the health sector most government have tried to restrict it to. The overconfidence shown so far in their intervention and the increasing moralistic tone most start to adopt is about to seriously derail over the next weeks and months.
The Saturn-Uranus square of June 14th has not yet developed in its more typical way.
Robert Tarnas in the seminal Cosmos and Psyche describes the manifestation of this alignment as follows:
Historical periods in which Saturn and Uranus moved into dynamic aspect were marked by certain distinctive themes that were readily intelligible in terms of the archetypal principle associated with these two planets the exacerbation of tensions between authority and rebellion order and freedom, structure and change.
Often the two archetypal principles combined an interpenetrated in contradictory ways: repressive revolution, erratically unpredictable authority, and so forth, as evident during the terror in revolutionary France and the Cultural Revolution in communist China.
Especially frequent with this cycle were crisis and the sudden collapse of structures, crashes and accidents, grim awakening, and sudden breakdowns, whether political, economic, of psychological. Such phenomena regularly coincided with hard aspect alignment of the Saturn Uranus cycle [like now]; with the additional presence of Pluto in the more rare three planet configuration and especially massive, overwhelming, sometime catastrophe dimension was typically constellated. In the 1929-30 crisis, the widespread political and economic destabilisation suddenly catalysed a full range of characteristic Saturn Pluto phenomena: widespread financial failures, poverty, and traumatic personal hardship on a vast scale throughout the world, plus the rapid ascendancy of authoritarian and totalitarian forces.
Another important category of a historical phenomenon that should be mentioned here comprises the many instances in which events that occurred during a longer Uranus Pluto alignment set in motion powerful forces that later, after that alignment was over, suddenly reached a crisis or breaking point, a critical collapse of structures, precisely when Saturn moved into hard aspect with Uranus. Often the sequence took the form of emancipatory or dissident forces emerging on a wider scale during the earlier Uranus Pluto alignment then subsequently producing a violence schism in the body politic.
For example, the sustained wave of intensified abolitionist activity and related political and social development during the Uranus Pluto conjunction of 1845-56 all led to the civil war, which began in precise coincidence with Saturn’s movement into exact square with Uranus in 1861, immediately after the election of Lincoln. Not only are the characteristics Saturn-Uranus themes of sudden crisis, political breakdown, structural destabilization, and national schism visible here so also is the peculiar combination of rebellious (Uranus) and repressive (Saturn) impulses that coalesced in the slaveholding Confederate states, which specifically sought and proclaimed freedom (Uranus) from the Union to maintain their systematically oppressive (Saturn) mode of life.
For memory, the last Uranus-Pluto square occurred between 2008-20 and peaked in 2016, when many populists were elected in position of power and Brexit was voted.
We already see it being manifested in most states wanting to tax, regulate or dismantle big tech monopolies or crypto monies, Poland, Hungary and even Italy threatening to exit the EU, governments wanting to reform but being opposed by masses attached to their privileges, leaders slowly moving to a mandatory vaccination and being openly liberticide or going the other extreme and releasing all controls on the epidemics.
My bet is that the next two weeks might well see its energy emerge as:
An interesting cocktail of wishful thinking, overconfidence and change of mood following bad news that could make the bullet train of our economic rebound trumpeted during the Mercury retro derail big time between those days.
With Jupiter (stock market) and Venus (money / values) connected in secondary aspects to this full moon, the backdrop of this 4th epidemic wave could well be a new stock market crisis and the likely exclusion of many people out of this system.
Note that I had already made this forecast in last February, but still confined, the western governments had dig deeper in unsuspected pockets than ever before to avoid this crisis, injecting trillions of dollars, pounds and euros in the economy and resurfacing a hyper-inflation most will be unfamiliar with but which will be in full swing in 2022. A slight probability exists that this could still be the case but avoiding it now again would only make it more devastating for our economies. Despite its necessary occurrence for the betterment of our systems, I only hope we will not have to wait for December to see it happening as we would then need decades to recover from it.
The Sabian symbols associated to the Moon and Sun at 1degree of their respective sign also seem to point to this conclusion. They both talk about an Unexpected storm and Contagion (both physical and mental).
Since the 4th wave was very much predictable, my bet is on other manifestations of the Saturn-Uranus square… both economic and environmental, even though the second are much more likely to gain in strength in the last December square as Uranus will then be retrograde. We will also see below what to expect.
The need of the hour wisdom of this full moon is rather simple and straightforward.
Whatever we do to protect ourselves, all life remains ephemeral and submission to unforeseen and uncontrollable forces is always eventually a predictable requirement.
Nature will always win at the end.
We are being invited to find balance between idealism and pragmatism.
Not only are we reminded of how small and insignificant we are and how magnificent any creation that stands against Nature for a while is, yet also of the need to develop inwardly the strength to cope with it all.
Here we will need to draw into the highest expression of Leo to find the silver lining: with optimism and confidence, setbacks will always further our ends.
In all the strands of a normal life – career, relationship, spirituality and family – we will likely have to come to terms with the loss of love, of position, of health and of our hopes – often as a result of an unexpected, unwelcome, forceful or stormy event.
It is better to recognize the positive aspect of crisis. Without it, opportunities for maximum self-development are rare, and the bonding convergence of relationships is absent. Life needs crisis to deepen.
The expert approach is to seek out such events and ‘chase the storms’, so to harvest the juice they contain. With the right mind of optimism and confidence, we can call up our genius to create opportunity out of disaster, and use setbacks, and even catastrophe, to further our ends.
